WELCOME TO THE AMC EXECUTIVE AGENT
FOR SMALL ARMS LOGISTICS AND DEMILITARIZATION

In June 1999, we assumed the mission of the AMC Executive Agent for Small Arms Logistics and Demilitarization (EA-SALD).  The EA-SALD acts as the principal AMC point of contact on behalf of the headquarters with direct interface with other HQ, AMC elements, AMC Major Subordinate Commands, Department of Army, and other services/agencies.

The Executive Agent for Small Arms Logistics has responsibility for the following:

• Accountability oversight for Small Arms.
• Unique Item Tracking (UIT) – oversight and assistance to the Logistics Support Activity for the Small Arms segment of UIT.
• Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) – oversight of the Army’s relationship  with the Corporation for the Promotion of Rifle Practice and Firearms Safety.
• Law Enforcement Support – program (Section 1033, FY 97 National Defense Authorization Act) – execution of the Army’s Small Arms support to this program.
• General Officer Pistols – execution of the program
• Congressional/Media Inquiries and Agency Reports.
• Physical security of Small Arms.

 The Executive Agent for Demilitarization has responsibility for the following.

• Proponent for Army DEMIL regulation.
• DEMIL Code Management System (AEPS
• Reutilization – promote maximum reuse of excess
