“From the dark days at Valley Forge through to the present, whenever it sounded, Americans have answered the call to defend our rights and principles.  You know who they are – they have served on battlefields all over the world, keeping our shores secure while we sleep.” (Unknown)      The M1 Garand is issued to a unit or other organization as recognized by Secretary of Army as Honor Guard for a National Cemetery, Law Enforcement Agency Honor Guard, and local unit of any organization that is designated as a nationally recognized Veterans Organization performing funeral detail.     Ceremonial rifles are issued to members of the above listed organizations on a “Conditional Deed of Loan”.  The rifles remain the property of the U.S. Government and are managed by the Executive Agency-Donations Office, TACOM-WARREN.     All inquiries related to the requirements necessary to obtain Ceremonial Rifles should be addressed to:
